"Anybody can do some form of Pilates!" says Mariah. She subscribes to Joseph Pilates' philosophy of "20-30 minutes a day for life." Having lived with scoliosis (curvature of the spine), Mariah maintains that Pilates and Gyrotonic have been her solution to the imbalances created by the spinal curvatures. With her patients, she addresses whole body balancing, while treating specific areas of the body since an imbalance creates a specific orthopedic issue in the first place.
